Healing From Post Betrayal Trauma: You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck in the Pain

Betrayal cuts deeper than most wounds.

It’s not just the event itself—it’s the shattering of trust, the loss of safety, and the feeling that the world, and often yourself, are no longer recognizable. Whether it’s a betrayal by a partner, family member, friend, or even yourself, the emotional, mental, and physical toll it takes is profound.

This is known as Post Betrayal Trauma—a unique type of trauma that occurs when someone you deeply trusted breaks that trust, leaving you feeling blindsided and disoriented. It’s a trauma that shakes your very foundation.

Why Post Betrayal Trauma Is Different

Unlike other life challenges or traumas, betrayal isn’t something we just “get over” with time. It impacts every aspect of your being:

  • You start questioning yourself—“How did I not see it? What’s wrong with me?”

  • You may struggle with trusting others, even those who mean you no harm.

  • Your nervous system stays on high alert, caught in a loop of hypervigilance, anger, or shutdown.

  • You may even experience physical symptoms—digestive issues, fatigue, anxiety, weight fluctuations.

This isn’t in your head. It’s in your body. It’s in your heart. And it’s very real.

You Don’t Need to Stay Stuck

As a Certified Post Betrayal Transformation Practitioner through The PBT Institute, I specialize in guiding individuals through the specific stages of betrayal recovery. I’m here to help you:

  1. Understand why you feel stuck—It’s not that you’re weak. You’re wounded. Betrayal requires a very specific healing process that most people are never taught.

  2. Heal the root of the trauma—Through personalized sessions, we’ll work on identifying how the betrayal impacted your beliefs, behaviors, and body. Together, we’ll start to rebuild safety from the inside out.

  3. Rebuild trust—first with yourself, then with others—One of the hardest parts of betrayal is learning to trust again. We’ll take small, steady steps to help you reconnect with your own intuition and discernment.

  4. Transform the experience into a catalyst for growth—Post Betrayal Transformation (PBT) is possible. It’s the process of not just healing from betrayal, but becoming stronger, wiser, and more aligned with your values and boundaries.

How I Work With Clients

In our work together, you’ll experience a combination of talk therapy, somatic (body-based) practices, and practical tools designed specifically for betrayal trauma recovery. This is a safe space where you can show up fully, no longer needing to minimize your pain or pretend you’re fine.

You don’t need to do this alone. There’s a proven path to healing, and I’m here to walk it with you.

If you’re ready to start healing from betrayal and take back your life, I invite you to reach out. Let’s have a conversation about where you are and how I can support you on your journey to Post Betrayal Transformation.
